Tips are how cam shows move forward. Models set goals — a token target the room collectively works toward — and tips push the meter. Higher viewer count usually means faster goal completion, which is why busy rooms feel more alive.
Buying tokens
Tokens are Chaturbate's internal currency. The conversion is roughly 100 tokens = $10.99 on the smallest pack, with bulk discounts at higher tiers. You buy them once with a credit card, crypto, or gift card. They don't expire.
How to actually send a tip
In any room, there's a "Tip" button below the video. Click it, choose an amount (preset or custom), optionally add a message, and send. The model sees your username, the amount, and any note in real time. Many performers acknowledge tippers by name.
Tip menus
Most active rooms display a "Tip Menu" — specific actions priced in tokens (e.g., "Flash 25 tokens", "Lush 5min 100 tokens"). Tipping the listed amount triggers that action. It's the most reliable way to get a specific response.
Etiquette
Don't tip 1 token to demand things. Don't spam the chat. If you're a regular, models remember — consistency over a single huge tip usually builds a better experience.
